SEVERE TIRE DAMAGE IN
THE SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS

"Weiser has fun with his computing. Every Wednesday night, he plays drums in Severe Tire Damage, a rock band made up of computer researchers, and their rehearsals are broadcast over the Internet. Three years ago, the group, which sings songs with names such as 'Car on Fire' and 'Carcinoma,' beat out the Rolling Stones by 20 minutes to become the first rock band to broadcast live on the Net."
